The following diagram shows the suggested external connection to external equipment.

Connect Reset inputs in parallel
The Telco alarm reset inputs of a redundant pair of SPMs can be connected in parallel such that
both SPMs will receive a reset signal independent of the other. The connection scheme is based
on the following:
1. External reset sources will produce a DC voltage to reset the associated alarms.
2. The SPM reset inputs are isolated from each other and do not change DC loading based on
the power or operational state of the SPM.
